Zen Buddhism teaches the importance of not labelling ourselves as this or that kind of person.

Every morning, I walk through the temple garden. Although it’s the same garden, it appears different from one day to the next.

People who do their best to enjoy what is before them have the greatest chance to discover inner peace.

A supple mind accepts change and is not attached to the past. Rather than lamenting change, it finds new beauty and hope in it. That is a life to which to aspire.
